Driving through Dayboro was spectacular. It was so fresh and green. You could see cows eating grass and the hills behind them. When we arrived we looked to our left and there was a paddock full of llamas. I was so excited and all I could think was 'how cute are these llamas and I want one'. Everyone in the group was paired off with their own llama to lead on the walk. Our llama was white and brown and was sporting an awesome hairdo of dreads. His coat was thick and so warm. His ears perked up and his big teeth showing. He was awesome. The hike up was tough but I really enjoyed it. The llamas found it much easier on foot. The track had some rocky spots and was steep at times but the experience was so much fun and so different. I was able at times walk next to my llama and put my hand on his side. If I walked behind the llama and we stopped to rest suddenly, I almost walked right into the back of the llama, not a good view;) When we reached the top of the hike the view was amazing. The houses below and all the green grass with the mountains behind with a beautiful blue sky. It is very different to where I live... This is so quiet! Going down the track made me laugh. I am surprised I made it back without stumbling down.. It was so much fun. Watching all the llamas walking with us and how calm and steady they were was so adorable. We had to say goodbye and put them a back in their paddock with the others who were waiting for them at the gate. This has been one of my favourite activities and I cannot wait to tell my friends at school. Exercising with llamas.... We will be doing this walk again. Thanks for the fun! Raven (26th April 2015)
